Malleo, the Main tank from the guild Make Love Not Warcraft generously invited Elvengoddess and Essteephyu from the Chromatic Obsidian to partake in the raid Battle for Mount Hyjal.

This was a really exciting opportunity as Chromatic Obsidian has only raided to Tier 4. Battle for Mount Hyjal is a Tier 6 raid, just below the Black Temple.

We were nervous to say the least, having held up the whole raid to do our last few arena matches, not having time to get consumables and then finally not having Vent to hear the Raid leader explain the battle. It wasnt a good start. It was time to show them what Chromatic Obsidian guildies are all about!! Time to redeem ourselves in light of our terrible entrance.

ENTER ELVENGODDESS!!

Apon arrival the well known guild Huntard was up to her usual tricks as seen in this screenshot ;-).

As the raid began Elvengoddess then proceeded to further upset the raid. Riding around on a giant Kodo and squishing many of the raid.

If this behaviour wasn't enough to embarrass our guild, Elvengoddess had a few more tricks up her sleeve! As we fought through wave after wave of mobs and finally reached Azgalor the second last boss of Hyjal. We valiantly fought him several times but did not succeed. As we battled on Elvengoddess continued to tread on toes and upset the raid. This screenshot shows her lack of respect for Make Love Not Warcraft.

That's right she topped the Damage charts in a Tier 6 raid!! Nice work Elven!

Just so she doesnt get a big head I better throw in this picture as a little reminder for those who did the guild Kara raid on the weekend. Aran wipe anyone?? Once a Huntard always a Huntard ;-)

Omen tells you if you are goinf to pull aggro off the tanks.

DBM tells you a lot of very helpful stuff on raid bosses. All about when they are going to use their abilities and where to stand when fighting the boss.

Group calendar is to let you know about guild events and to tell us whether you intend attending

Group calendar is to post Guild events in game, and to inform the guild of your intention to attend an event.

First save the addon file to a spot wher you can easily access it eg your desktop or My Documents

Most addons are a zip file [a way of making the files smaller for easier downloading]

The addon files need to be extracted from the zip file and placed into your addons folder
This is most commonly
C:\program files\world of warcraft\interfaceddons

To get to this folder open Windows Explorer or My Computer and navigate through the folders to the addons folder.

When you open the zip file you should see a folder with the name of the addon inside it. This must be copied into you addons folder.

eg C:\program files\world of warcraft\interfaceddons\cartographer

Once you have the new addon folder inside the Addons folder you can start WoW and you should see your new addon.

This allows healing with specific spells per mouse button just by clicking on a party/raid members name. eg left click on name could be flash of light or regrowth and right click on name could be holy light or healing touch. Additionally shift/alt/control can be held and a button clicked eg shift left click could be dispell magic or remove curse.

there are proconfigured settings for 5 man/raid/alterac valley etc
Additionally, it configures automatically to your class, choosing spells for buttons by class.

It is a casting bar addon that shows latency on it. This allows you to cast a spell before it hits the end of the normal casting bar. This can allow you to move or cast a new spell up to half a second faster.

Class timer allows movable bars that show the time remaining on spells. This is handy to know when to recast a CC spell or heal over time.

DrDamage shows the values of healing spells calculated using talents and equipment. Great to know how much a spell will heal for or comparing gear.

For Druid healers Lifebloomer is an awesome addon fot HoT management. Shows 3 bars 1 each for regrowth, rejuventaion, and life bloom. Make the timing of HoT casting on mutiple targets much more intuitive.

read some info on Attumen and Moroes the 1st 2 bosses of Kara. Watch a few videos of them being killed. This is essential so we dont have a wipe fest.
